Garner PD Make Arrests in Home Break-ins - Wednesday, August 18, 2010
The Garner Police Department arrested Irvin Louis Spraggins, age 26, of 219 Kentucky Dr., Garner, and Ronald Keith Miller, age 19, of 323 Kentucky Dr., Garner, and charged them each with nine (9) counts of felony breaking, entering and larceny. These charges are the result of investigations of nine (9) home break-ins which have occurred in the central area of Garner near Kentucky Dr. since late July of this year. These break-ins were committed during the daytime hours when residents were away from home. The police have recovered over $1500 in stolen property from these break-ins. The thieves targeted items such as jewelry, cash, and small electronics.

The Garner Police Department is pleased to announce that TT&E Iron and Metal has made a generous donation in the amount of $13,750 for the purpose of purchasing a police canine as well as training for the officer selected to work with the canine. (full story) |
27th Annual National Night Out - Wednesday, July 28, 2010
The Garner Police Department, in partnership with Target Stores of Garner, will be hosting National Night Out (NNO) on August 3, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Target at White Oak Shopping Center, located at 1040 Timber Dr. East. National Night Out is celebrating its 27th annual event which promotes police-community partnerships, safety, and neighborhood unity. This nation-wide celebration involves over 37 million people in more than 15,000 communites across the United States.
